Ballet, Tap, Tumble

Ballet, Tap, Tumble

This combination class includes Tap, Ballet, and Creative Movement for pre-schoolers.  In Tap, the students learn to focus on the beat of the music learning shuffles, flaps, heels, ball changes, and other Tap movements.  During Ballet, French terminology will be taught to the dancers as well as the proper technique.  Dancers can be expected to learn terms such as plie, tendu, cambre, releve, passe, arabesque and more!  Creative Movement often begins with a tumbling segment where the dancers learn forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and handstands, followed by a fun dance game to end the class.  These games are designed to help the students with the coordination and motor skills, and sometimes include props such as hula hoops, pom pons, parachute, maracas, teddy bears, etc.  Level 1 is for students ages 2 1/2-4, level 2 is for students ages 4-5, and level 3 is for students in Kindergarten.
